Being familiar with the symptoms of mental illness can help you recognize and respond when someone may be experiencing a mental health crisis.

- Depression
- Anxiety
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- How to access resources such as NAMI Indiana's "Planning for and Responding to a Mental Health Crisis", the 988: Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and more.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT: In order to earn Continuing Education Credits (CEC's), viewers must attend the live in-person or virtual class. No credit will be earned from watching the recording posted to our website following the class. Attendees are encouraged to turn on their video camera and participate in any poll questions/open discussion from the speaker(s). Credit hours are based on webinar duration.

Instructor
Marianne Halbert is the Criminal Justice Director at NAMI Indiana (2011-present). From 1996 to 2010, she was the Mental Health Coordinator for the Marion County Public Defender Agency, representing clients impacted by serious mental illness.
As the Criminal Justice Director at NAMI Indiana, Ms. Halbert oversees the development of Crisis Intervention Team programs in Indiana, providing technical assistance to communities across Indiana to improve crisis response systems by implementing CIT programs. Ms. Halbert is a Certified CIT Coordinator and Trainer.
Ms. Halbert is also a certified QPR (suicide prevention) instructor and is on Indiana’s 988 Implementation Coalition.
