Both maintenance and property managers alike encounter situations in their units and buildings that can be overwhelming and even potentially unsafe. This course will help all to identify these hazards and understand what immediate steps should be taken. Your staff and residents' safety before, during and after any type of biohazardous event is of utmost importance. Attendees will receive valuable information and practical action steps that will help protect all occupants from issues associated with pathogenic agents including soot, mold, biological materials and contaminated water. This course will combine active demos with class presentation, along with take-home materials.

Learning Objectives:
  • Learn to identify different types of biohazards
  • Maintain resident safety as the main priority
  • Review precautions needed to be taken by both the maintenance team and property management
  • Prepare a plan for your community when facing issues associated with pathogenic agents
  • Participate in active demonstrations for remediation

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT: In order to earn Continuing Education Credits (CECs), attendees must attend the In-Person class. Credit hours are based on course instruction duration.
