The CPO is recognized worldwide as the leading training standard in the swimming pool industry. Participants are trained in the most advanced techniques of chemical treatment, filtration, and mechanical system operation and maintenance. Course content will be geared directly towards state and local codes and focus on the unique challenges facing swimming pool operation in apartment communities.
Learning Objectives / Outcomes:
- Participants will learn the codes, standards, regulations and best practices for swimming pools operated in the state of Indiana.
- Participants will apply scientifically supported principles to their swimming pool operations, helping them run safer and cleaner facilities.
- Operators will learn to advance their bottom line through efficient and effective techniques.
After successfully completing the written examination, operators will be certified as a Pool / Spa Operator for five years.
This course is offered through the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA, formerly the NSPF) and led by Aquatic Council, LLC.

Tim Auerhahn is a five-time recipient of the Distinguished Instructor Award issued by the World Aquatic Health Conference. Since 2015 he has certified more operators worldwide than any other instructor.
